1. Acceptance of these terms

TripTrak is a service operated by Jason Saunders (“we”, “us” or “our”).

By creating an account or using TripTrak, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to them, please do not use the app.

2. Using TripTrak

TripTrak is a travel budgeting and expense-tracking application designed to help you plan trips, record spending, monitor budgets and understand your travel expenses.

You may use TripTrak only if you are legally able to agree to these terms. You are responsible for making sure your use of the service complies with the laws that apply to you.

3. Accounts and security

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your details up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and login credentials, and for activity that occurs under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without permission, please submit a request through our Support form.

4. Your trip and spending data

You retain ownership of the trip information, expenses, budgets and other data you enter into TripTrak. You give us permission to store and process that data as needed to provide the service.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping any separate records you may need.

5. Budgeting information, not financial advice

TripTrak is provided for informational and personal budgeting purposes only. It does not provide financial, tax, accounting or investment advice.

You remain responsible for your travel plans, spending, budgets and financial decisions. Information shown in TripTrak should not replace professional advice where that is appropriate.

6. Calculations and exchange rates

TripTrak uses third-party exchange-rate providers to calculate currency conversions. Exchange rates are provided for convenience and may not match rates offered by banks, payment providers or foreign-exchange services.

While we aim to provide useful and accurate information, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or availability of exchange-rate data, calculations or forecasts.

7. Free and Pro features

TripTrak includes free features, while some features are available through a paid Pro subscription. The features included in each plan may change over time.

Pro subscription fees are charged in advance and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel through the billing-management tools provided in the app. After cancellation, access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period.

8. Refunds

Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. We may provide refunds for circumstances such as duplicate charges, billing errors or technical issues that prevent reasonable use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer-protection laws.

9. Acceptable use

You must not misuse TripTrak. In particular, you must not:

• use the service for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful activity;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to accounts, systems or data;
• interfere with the service or place an unreasonable load on it;
• upload malicious code or use automated tools in a way that disrupts the service; or
• copy, reverse-engineer or exploit the service except where the law expressly allows it.

10. Intellectual property

TripTrak and its software, branding, design and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms do not transfer ownership of those materials to you. Your right to use TripTrak is personal, limited and subject to these terms.

11. Third-party services and links

TripTrak may rely on or link to third-party services, including exchange-rate, billing and platform services. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.

12. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to provide a reliable service, but do not guarantee that TripTrak will always be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, updates or operational reasons.

Features may be changed, added or removed as TripTrak develops.

13. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where an account violates these terms, misuses the service or creates a security or operational risk. You may request deletion of your account through our Support form.

14. Disclaimers and liability

TripTrak is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jason Saunders, as the operator of TripTrak, is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive loss arising from use of the service.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app or by email. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.

16. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law, without limiting any consumer rights that must apply under law.
